Are sliding wardrobe door kits easy to install?

Absolutely. All sliding wardrobe door kits from Runners are designed with ease of installation in mind - no intricate parts, no excessive lifting. All of our kits also include data sheets, so you can see exactly what parts need to go where, making the whole process much simpler if you’re unsure. What sliding wardrobe door kits do I need?

Can I use sliding wardrobe door kits on any door?

No - sliding wardrobe door kits need to be used on wardrobe doors that are designed specifically for sliding. These doors are often much thinner and smaller than standard wardrobe doors, because they’re built to be used in a different way. Traditional wardrobe doors open outwards and are often far too heavy or the wrong dimensions to use as sliding doors, so be sure you have the right sliding doors for your project before making a purchase.

Does the weight of the door matter when using sliding wardrobe door kits?

Yes - our sliding wardrobe door kits are built with the weight of the doors you’ll be using in mind. This is because the materials are crafted to withstand different weights, so always double-check the weight of your doors before you begin. For example, our ProSlide 18 Wardrobe Track Kit is able to handle doors of up to 50kg in weight, whereas our Ultra Bypass Double Track Sliding Wardrobe Door Kits are able to withstand door weights of up to 100kg. Using doors that are heavier than the designated weights may result in the tracks struggling or failing entirely.
